Pattern & Syllabus – IIFT

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, prescribes the exam pattern of IIFT Entrance Exam. IIFT exam is conducted every year for admission to IIFT’s MBA in IB program at Delhi and Kolkata campus. The exam is held across 20 cities in India including, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, Indore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata and few other cities. Around 70,000 candidates register for the exam every year. The exam is generally held in the Last week of November or First week of December on a Sunday, from 10 AM to 12 noon.

IIFT Entrance Examination Pattern

The test will be divided into six sections – Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Aptitude. The duration of the test would be two hours and based on previous years’ pattern, the marking scheme for each section would be different. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must know the exam pattern of IIFT. It will allow them to prepare or the exam in a planned manner. IIFT Exam Syllabus

Data Interpretation: Bar Graph, Line Graph, Pie Chart, Table, Caselets etc.
Logical Ability: Comparisons, Deductions, Coding-Decoding, Series & Analysis, Input & Output, Directions, Seating, Selections etc.
English Language: This section covers Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension sections. The topics covered in these sections are Grammar, Preposition, Phrases, Analogy, Matching word meanings, Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Passages, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude: Number, Geometry, Mensuration, Logarithms, Equations, Ratio, Proportion and Variation, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Probability, Permutation & Combination etc.
General Awareness: Politics, Business, Society, Economics, Banking, History, Films etc.
